I spent the middle days of my stay in Roswell at the National 9 Inn. |
The National 9 bathroom had nifty green ceramic tiles. |
The stepping stones at the National 9 had the ubiquitous New Mexico symbol. |
I ate several good meals (except for the apple cobbler) at the Nuthin' Fancy Cafe two doors down from the National 9. Dinner included a basket with a biscuit and a mini-loaf of cornbread like those painted on the building. |
" Home cookin' without the mess!" |
Heather's Main (or Mane) Street Salon was located in a few former rooms of the National 9 Inn. I took the opportunity to get a long-overdue haircut. |
The Suds & Fluff Coin-Op Laundry was only half a mile down the road. My clothes needed washing even worse than my hair needed cutting.  I never found the Lion's Den bookstore, though. |
Pecos Trails Transit, the local bus company, was based in this nifty old Art Deco bus station. |
Here is another view of the Pecos Trails Transit building. |
