Prescott Photos, Part I

My first stop at the north end of Prescott was Watson Lake Park.

Granite rose above the northern and eastern shores of Watson Lake.

Another ten minutes down the road, I was welcomed by Prescott's civic organizations.

Like most bike shops I've seen, High Gear was " established in the past."

The most prominent building on old Whiskey Row was the Palace Saloon, where I had an excellent lunch. I later found out that my cousin, Jim, used to wait tables there!

This plaque told the history of the Palace Saloon. My favorite part was the fire of  1900--the patrons of the Palace carried the bar and much of the liquor across the street to the courthouse square, where drinks were served while much of downtown Prescott burned to the ground.

I bought several books about Arizona at The Worm bookstore downtown.
