Kingman Photos, Part I

I didn't stop to see if Roadrunner Donuts were really " bigger, better & light as a feather."

Kingman is a big railroad town, so it was appropriate that a steam engine graced the Chamber of Commerce's welcome sign.

The Hill Top Motel was one of many old places on the east side of town.

Another welcome was painted on a water tank. As in several other Kingman photos, a train was passing by in the background.

The Mohave Museum of History and Arts was on the west end of town. Notice how strongly the wind was blowing the flag on the left.

Route 66 through Kingman was named Andy Devine Avenue in honor of the character actor who was Kingman's most famous son.

Another welcome sign touted the population of 21,000 and elevation of 3,320 feet.
