Boron Photos, Part I

As I rode down 20 Mule Team Road, I was welcomed by friendly Boron.

The forthcoming Aero Space Museum probably has something to do with Boron's proximity to Edwards Air Force Base.

Every town that has one seems to love to display big tires. The height of the building next door gives some idea of this tire's size.

Maybe that tire would fit on this huge truck. The building in the background serves as a point of reference.

I wondered which of these items were antiques and which were museum pieces.

This mural depicts one of the legendary 20 mule teams that transported boron across the desert to the railhead at Mojave.

Unfortunately, the barrel-shaped Dinky's was closed. According to this site, Dinky's probably used to be an A& W Root Beer stand.

The Aero Space Museum wasn't open yet, but at least Boron had one jet.
