Day Forty-Eight Photos, Part III

Almost immediately, the color of the earth changed from brown to orange when I entered Arizona. The changes seemed rather abrupt considering that the states had an arbitrarily defined border as opposed to a natural one.

There were many of these desert plants alongside the highway.

I took this picture from the top of one of the hills, about an hour after the picture of the first hill.

Billy Hill, who I assume was a highway worker, left his mark in tar on US 60.

Bill's friend Chris couldn't resist adding his own graffiti.

Before I headed down into Springerville, I stopped at a scenic overlook to see the Round Valley.
