US 180 curved to the right and seemed to continue forever, reappearing at the top of every hill.

I took a break at the top of this hill on US  180.

This windmill was situated at a roadside park with no explanation except the ubiquitous " No Trespassing" and " Not Responsible For Accidents."

I took several pictures of the surrounding rough country.

Notice the rocky ground and the variety of vegetation.

This terrain  looks very different from the land atop the Llano Estacado.

I passed the Youngblood Ranch right before I climbed onto the caprock.
