Gail Photos, Part I

Borden County and its seat were named for Gail Borden. Who was Gail Borden, and what did he do? The answer can be found in the supermarket. Yes, that is the same Borden as Borden's condensed milk, and Gail Borden invented the process.

Here is a better view of the modest Borden County Courthouse seen in the background above.

The Caprock Cafe was one of two restaurants in Gail.

The only grocery store in town was closed on Easter Sunday. Fortunately, there was a Coke machine outside.

Judging by the sign, the Coyote Store used to be a Texaco.

This gas station turned variety store was made of local rock.

There was another welcome sign at the west end of town.
