This boxcar marked the site of the Bud Matthews Switch on the Texas Central Railway. Matthews built cattle pens and a loading chute to ship cattle to Fort Worth. Since the railroad shut down in 1967, trucks have been loaded there instead.

A close-up of the other side of the boxcar.

The cows in the background had no comment when I asked them how they felt about genetic engineering. As of  January 2004, the web sites listed on the sign are  no longer operational.

This was the Clear Fork of the Brazos River, but it looked brown to me.

Well, I would call, but there's some important information missing from this sign.
