Illinois Bicycling

• League of Illinois Bicyclists: The LIB is a statewide cycling advocate.
• Active Transportation Alliance: Formerly the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation, this group represents cycling, walking, and transit interests in northeastern Illinois.
• Illinois Bicycle Rides: Mike Bentley maintains the most comprehensive list of event rides throughout the state.
• IDOT's state bicycling maps: The Illinois Department of Transportation publishes nine free maps that rate roads for rideability. You can also view the maps online.

Illinois Trails

• American Trails: Illinois Trails & Greenways: This page has links for a variety of trails and trail users.
• Illinoistocht: This site explores the potential for  marathon ice skating events on the Hennepin and/or I & M Canals.

Bicycle Touring

• BicycleTouring101.com: If you want to tour but aren't sure where to start, start here.
• Touring E-mail list: This list is a great way to find out more. Even if you don't subscribe, you can get a lot of answers by searching the archives.
• Adventure Cycling Association: The only nationwide organization dedicated to bicycle touring, the ACA puts out a great magazine and offers detailed maps of certain routes.
• CrazyGuyOnABike.com: This is a great collection of tour diaries.

Pro Cycling

• Cyclingnews.com: This site has exhaustive coverage of the pro peloton.
