I didn't get to sample the Magdalena Cafe's " good home cooking" since they weren't open.

Of course, the sign said they were open.

My home for the night was the Western Motel, a B& B/motel/RV park  and cappuccino bar run by a couple of city transplants.

The office and my room were located in the thick-walled building on the left.

To my surprise, I was given one of the bed &   breakfast rooms for a motel room rate.

It had  a fancy bathroom as well.

Right across the street from the motel, the Magnolia Bakery & Sandwich Cafe was quite convenient for dinner, especially since it was about the only place in town  open that late.
