Truxton Photos, Part II

There was no " pay at the pump" at the old-fashioned Truxton Station.

Truxton Station offered 24-hour towing, a good thing since garages in this area were scarce.

The Frontier Lounge was no longer a gas station.

For  dinner, my options were pretty limited. I chose Cowgill's Trading Company at the edge of town.

Cowgill's Route 66 sign was supported by the ubiquitous cowboy silhouette, joined by the rare Indian silhouette.

The Route 66 sign mimicked a famous vintage postcard.

Cowgill's had a drive-up window where the most popular item was cigarettes.

This awesome mural graced the side of Cowgill's.
