San Luis Obispo Photos, Part I

San Luis Obispo was the last town I pedaled into on my tour.

The in-town Travelodge had a rather nice view of a hill overlooking the city.

This old building wasn't marked, but it could have been a former church.

The Madonna Inn with its pricey, themed rooms was San Luis Obispo's best-known tourist attraction.

After risking life and limb to cross some not-very-pedestrian-friendly intersections, I came to this sign at the driveway leading to the inn.

As one might surmise from its architecture, the gourmet food &   wine shop used to be a wedding chapel.

It wasn't clear to me why the Madonna Inn had a pen of animals.
