Roswell, NM Photos, Part II

Roswell had the first Carnegie Library I had seen in awhile, and it was for sale.

Oh well, so much for getting our dogs trained there.

This was one of the buildings on the NMMI campus.

This is a close-up of the horse sculpture pictured above. I joked that it demonstrated an important  military lesson--what to do in case of a nuclear attack: bend over and kiss your butt goodbye.

The Zuni Motel was a neat old place. The Taste of Europe restaurant was in the building in the background. In smaller towns out west, I noticed several such " European" restaurants, hinting that there wasn't a big enough market for more specialized cuisine from one country.

This shot of the Zuni Motel shows its nice landscaping.

There were ominous gray clouds overhead, but I felt only a few raindrops all afternoon.
