Shafter featured an attractive railroad depot.

The City of Wasco is known for its rose growers. SR43 through town was lined with rose bushes.

Wasco definitely won the " best landscaping" award for the day.

Naturally, there was a rose on Wasco's water tower.

There was also a mural of a densely populated  field of roses.
