Day Sixty-Seven Photos, Part II

Daggett's new welcome sign was a little more uplifting than the 66 tombstone, but not much.

I bought a bottle of Gatorade at this colorful old store in Daggett.

The Greystone Cafe had interesting construction, but most of the stones weren't really grey.

Terrible Herbst is a chain of gas station mini-marts in Arizona and California. I can't think of another business with " terrible" in its name.

Like other corporations, gas companies usually don't do as much ornamentation on their buildings as in the past. This mission revival style gas station in  Barstow even has a bell tower.

This mural of Route 66 in the 1930's was painted beside an empty lot in Barstow.
