Day Sixty-Three Photos, Part I

West of Truxton, these two bluffs jutted out of the flatlands.

Route 66 descended into Crozier Canyon.

  This was just a bit further   into the canyon.

This picture looks up from within Crozier Canyon.

Hackberry would come soon enough,  but the wind made Kingman seem much further than 32 miles.

Chief's Motel was another shuttered oasis, like the Orlando Motel in Truxton.

Here's a close-up of the faded Chief's Motel sign.

The Hackberry General Store was definitely a place that warranted further exploration.
