Day Fifty-Eight Photos, Part II

I took frequent breaks as I climbed the steep switchbacks in town.

This view of Jerome shows how the town is built on the side of the mountain.

This was one of my favorite photos from the entire trip. It shows just how steep the road was in Jerome.

From a scenic overlook above Jerome, I took this picture of the town. The road can be seen in several places snaking its way up the mountain.

Naturally, I had to take a panoramic photo from the overlook as well. For an extra large version (549K), click here.

There was plenty of climbing after Jerome, and I stopped to take several pictures on the way up Mingus Mountain.

Naturally, this fantastic route was designated as a scenic road. Notice the concrete guardrail of another switchback above the sign.
