Day Fifty-Four Photos, Part I

My first stop on my way out of Springerville and through neighboring Eagar was the 26 Bar Ranch.

Currently  owned by the White Mountain Apache tribe, the 26 Bar Ranch was  a bed & breakfast.

The ranch buildings were on the left, while white stones to the right spelled out " 26 Herefords."

Eagar was the " Home of the Dome," the Round Valley Ensphere. A multi-use building, the Ensphere was most famous as the only domed high school football field in the country.

Although I missed it on the way through Eagar, I saw the Ensphere when I looked back.

Soon I approached the foothills of the White Mountains.

SR 260 began twisting up into the White Mountains, where I would reach the highest elevation on my trip.
