Day Forty-Three Photos

This was as close as I got to snow-capped Sierra Blanca in the Sacramento Mountains. At 12,000 feet, it was the tallest mountain I saw on my trip, albeit from a distance.

No trip to the West would be complete without some sort of encounter with that legendary hybrid, the half-jackrabbit and half-antelope " jackalope." More great New Mexico clouds completed the scene.

The highest point of my trip so far was Indian Divide a few miles west of Capitan. There I met a man in a white pick-up who told me all about the area.

I was surprised to find myself posing for a picture for the second day in a row.

The O Bar O Ranch sign framed a small group of mountains perfectly.

I took this picture for my mom, whose initials are J.J.J. Still more great clouds in the background, too.

The Diamond Peak Ranch sign paid homage to the dual land uses of the area.
