You've seen the picture on the sign, now here is the real thing: the Parker County Courthouse in Weatherford.

West of Weatherford on US 180 was the Radio Ranch, home of KJSA and KVXS.

This historical marker for Porter Cemetery had a unique " lone star" concrete base.

US 180 from Weatherford to Mineral Wells was a broad four-lane highway. The westbound lanes (on the left) are newer than the eastbound lanes--one can tell because they are more straight and less undulating.

According to the book " Jon McConal's Texas," this town was so named because it was a few degrees cooler than anywhere else in Parker County.
