Day Twenty-Three Photos

The Van Area Chamber of Commerce and the Woodchucks greeted me. I thought perhaps the Woodchuck was the school mascot, but I found out later that Van's teams are the Vandals. The Woodchucks are a club for woodshop students who make benches and park equipment  for the town.

This working oil pump was in front of the Van Oil Museum.

Just when I thought I'd seen every spelling of barbeque, along came Lily's Roadside Bobby Que of Canton, Texas.

The feature attraction of Canton is First Monday Trade Days, a huge flea market that some claim is the world's oldest and largest.

This is a close-up of the statue, called The Trade, in the center of the above photo.

This was the  door to my room at the Canton Days Inn.
